Throughout the past years, demographic change has become a growing issue in the political and economic debate. Particularly in the social services sector, an ageing population has a double effect: there is a strong increase in the number of people needing care while an ageing staff fights against growing workloads and performance pressure. Maintaining and strengthening the employability of nursing staffs becomes ever more important.
In order to contribute to the solution of this problem, the Paritätisches Bildungswerk co-ordinates the project Compliment. The aim of the project is to develop European guidelines for self-directed intergenerational learning.
